When no one invites you to Christmas dinner, what do you do?

In my case, I bring the party to me.

I own the hottest bistro in town. Surely there have to be other people tired of frozen turkey dinners and binge-watching a marathon of Die Hard (What? It’s a Christmas movie—fight me!). ’Tis the season to find friendship or maybe a little something more if you’re lucky…

The problem happens when I forget to limit the number of guests to this little soiree. And now I’m scrambling to pull this off.

Thankfully, my superstar—or should I say super cocky—chef agrees to help me out of this jam, but he tries to hijack the menu. Who wants snow pea foam when they could eat roasted goose with all the trimmings? Still, it’s nice to get my hands dirty in the kitchen again, and he is sort of… fun.

But it’s when Girard Eaton becomes my knight in shining pickup outside of the kitchen that I think my feelings for him might be changing. This Lonely Hearts Club Dinner might already be working its magic.

It’s a Christmas miracle.

Always Mine
